I didn't choose this work,
it chose me.
The hard way.
Hello! 👋🏼
I'm Melissa, a former executive staffing consultant in the global oil and gas industry turned life coach for high-achieving women.
In 2023, my life detonated after my spouse betrayed our marriage, burned my business, and cleaned out our accounts before disappearing with someone half his age. I was left to rebuild with what little money I had left: which meant buying a vintage RV and parking it in the woods next to a river.
During my rebuild, I pivoted careers by earning a stack of certifications, and I worked in a clinical setting to pay for my training until I couldn't stomach the gaslighting anymore. I had been watching this gaslighting for years in boardrooms, clinical settings, and my own life: the invisible contracts underlying the lives of high-achieving women which are the unspoken rules that turn capability into obligation and excellence into exhaustion. So I quit to go my own way.
That's why I created The Invisible Contracts framework, and it's what Finding My Fierce is built on: rebel wellness and life coaching for women who are capable, depleted, and ready to understand how small acts of non-compliance, not stacking on more habits, can help them to rebel against those contracts and ultimately, find their fierce.
Read the cornerstone article briefly explaining the concept of The Invisible Contracts here: Invisible Contracts: The Architecture Beneath Your Exhaustion.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
-
Coaching works in the present and future: what she's carrying now, what she wants instead, what's in the way, what she does next. Therapy works in the past and the wound: why the pattern formed, processing trauma, treating a diagnosable condition.

I'm an ISSA Menopause Coach, ACE Health Coach, MindBodyGreen Peri+Menopause certified, Cognitive Behavioral Coaching certified, and a Naturopathic Practitioner, with 10+ years of corporate HR and talent acquisition underneath all of it. What I have identified is pattern recognition built across boardrooms and clinical settings; a framework for naming what's draining you, and a refusal to hand you a supplement and call it a solution. If you need a diagnosis, see your doctor. If you need someone to explain why your doctor probably dismissed you in under fifteen minutes and you’re ready to take charge of your life without the gaslighting, you’re in the right place.

The Invisible Contracts are the architecture underlying women’s lives. They are the unspoken agreements that are passed on unknowingly by women in our life who perform these behaviors they learned from the women who came before them : The competence trap that turns your capability into everyone else's convenience at work and at home and has you managing invisible logistics for other capable adults while they assume everything runs by magic. The peacekeeping reflex that keeps you absorbing emotional weather in the boardroom and at the dinner table. The worthiness audit that ties your value to your output and never quite delivers a passing grade. These contracts were learned through repetition, what behavior was rewarded, what was punished, and what brought you praise. They are so embedded in women’s lives, they feel like part of your personality. They aren't, and learning to name them is the first act of noncompliance.

Most wellness content wants you to feel like you're one habit, one supplement, or one mindset shift away from fixed. Most coaching content wants to stack more performance onto an already overloaded system. Finding My Fierce starts further back, at the invisible architecture of obligations, expectations, and unspoken rules that created the exhaustion in the first place. Understanding what's been running your life is not a soft skill with a checklist for your fridge. It's the most strategic thing a high-achieving woman can do to get her power back and find her fierce.

The Invisible Contracts framework applies directly to organizational performance, specifically to the cost of invisible labor, underutilized talent, and the systemic dynamics that burn out high-achieving women before organizations ever notice what they're losing. Finding My Fierce is actively growing. Right now the shop carries guides and resources I built because they're the information I was looking for when I was struggling and couldn't find it anywhere. On the horizon for Q4 2026 are digital training programs built around the Invisible Contracts framework, including resources specifically designed for high-achieving women navigating these patterns in both their professional and personal lives. Corporate consulting and organizational training will be available for HR leaders and people managers interested in bringing this work inside their organizations to support the high-achieving women who contribute the the success of the company.
